The Highway Shaman Wisdom Reading
for July 2, 2020
These daily readings are all about reminding myself and the reader of the importance of our Spirit Guides; to go within and listen to your inner GUIDANCE. The reading says, “when this card appears it means you can trust the inner guidance you are being given.”
Many years ago I was a black belt student of Aikido, training under a very well respected living master. He was the Father of Aikido in Russia, with 27 dojos. I was at his home dojo. Nobody could touch him. His ki energy could stop you in your tracks. One of the teachings of Aikido is that you can be a master, but you are always a STUDENT. You must learn to move gracefully in the face of all attacks, not only physically, which all sensei’s emphasize, but also emotionally, mentally and spiritually. That was my emphasis, and still is. One day this living master was proudly showing off a kanji scroll. He said it belonged to O’Sensei, the beloved Father of Aikido. I asked, “Where in the hell did you get it?” His anger surfaced. He quickly rolled up the scroll and huffed out. He wouldn’t speak to me for days. He had mastered the physical, but not his mind and emotions. Where no student could put him down on the mat, I defeated him with one simple sentence. It didn’t matter if I was rude or disrespectful. He could have easily said he bought it a Pier One Imports, and everyone would have laughed. If he had tapped into the QUEEN OF WATER he wouldn’t have been offended by my words, because he would be confident that his relationship with me and others reflected his security in knowing he was always worthy of love and respect.
By the way, all stories are worthwhile. If he would have stopped and said he received it in a ceremony in his honor in Japan, it would have been an appreciatied story. If he went on about how he snuck like a ninja into a dojo in Japan and stole it, also a good story. And if he had found it at a garage sale and bought it for $10, it would have made a great laugh. Every way he would have won, except for his show of anger.

Osho Zen Tarot: 3 of Rainbows – GUIDANCE:
You have to look for guidance because you don’t know your inner guidance is hidden inside you. You have to find the inner guide, and that’s what I call your witness. That’s what I call your dharma, that’s what I call your intrinsic buddha. You have to awaken that buddha and your life will shower with blessings, benediction. Your life will become so radiant with good, with godliness, more than you can possibly conceive.
“The truth of your own deepest being is trying to show you where to go right now, and when this card appears it means you can trust the inner guidance you are being given. It speaks in whispers, and sometimes we can hesitate, not knowing if we have understood rightly. But the indications are clear: in following the inner guide you will feel more whole, more integrated, as if you are moving outwards from the very center of your being. If you go with it, this beam of light will carry you exactly where you need to go.”
The Good Tarot: QUEEN OF WATER – compassion, emotional security, generosity, self-love and self-care, healer.

My relationship with others reflect my security in knowing I am always worthy of love and respect. I heal myself so I can be the change I want to see in the world and so my compassion can inspire others.”
