The Highway Shaman Wisdom Reading

for June 28, 2020

It’s Sunday morning. I woke up in gratitude for my many blessings. I’m not one to go to church, and yet I was experiencing prayer, the presence of CHRIST in my life. It was quite  appropriate that I drew this card. Words like forgiveness and the Ho’oponopono prayer came up (I write about it below).  I looked up a Native American prayer which I include in place of my art today. As I sat in meditation I heard the roar of the ocean shore breaks. It was a call to go immediately to the ocean, to answer the call of the THREE OF WATER. I had pulled the card before I went, and I had been thinking its about time I meet people, be in community. This was my first morning walk to the ocean in three months. A man suddenly appeared next to me, on the otherwise empty beach. We had a pleasant conversation and found he does healing work. I felt our meeting wasn’t accidental, that we a part of all EXISTENCE, here to love and serve,

THE READING

The Elements Tarot: CHRIST:

Selfless service from a context of truth and dispassion. Forgiveness. Presence of Christ. Humility.

REVERSED: Unwillingness to accept negative aspects in oneself.

Osho Zen Tarot: EXISTENCE  (The Magician) –

You are not accidental. Existence needs you. Without you something will be missing in existence and nobody can replace it.  That’s what gives you dignity, that the whole of existence will miss you. The stars and sun and moon, the trees, birds and earth – everything in the universe will feel a small place is vacant which cannot be filled by anybody except you. This gives you a tremendous joy, a fulfillment that you are related to existence, and existence cares for you. Once you are clean and clear, you can see tremendous love falling on you from all dimensions.

The Good Tarot: THREE OR WATER – Celebration, enjoying community, sharing, exuberance, team spirit, friendship

Joy and excitement flow among all those gathered. I embrace being part of something larger than myself. It’s time to delight in camaraderie as I experience the greater whole that is my community and team. We buoy each other and play together as we co-create.  We are friends, family and companions, sharing our experiences. It is a time to remember we must accept each other as we are, with both shadow and light within.”

HO’OPONOPONO

Ho’oponopono is the powerful Hawaiian forgiveness prayer, which I have used for years. The Hawaiian word pono is defined as goodness, upright moral qualities, and correct or proper procedure. Ponopono means to put things in order; to make right. Many Polynesian cultures believed that a person’s errors, or not good qualities, caused illness; that these errors angered the gods, and the subsequent guilt made one sick. If the error was anger toward another, for instance, we would offer the prayer to forgive that person, thus forgiving ourself; in this way, we clean our subconscious mind so we can better see from a place of Divinity.

Ho’oponopono is all about healing ourself. The words of the prayer are:

I’m sorry. I love you. Please forgive me. Thank you

As a Hawaiian I loved the story of Dr. Hew Len, and the criminally insane ward of a Hawaii State Hospital. During the years of operation, all the doctors and therapists would give up, quit, because there was nothing they could do for these patients.

Dr. Len was hired, but he never saw even one patient. He would simple sit in his office and review a patients file and then say the ho’oponopono prayer, working on himself only.

After a few months, the patients who were shackled were allowed to walk freely, patients were taken off medications, and even the hopeless cases were eventually released back into society.

During the four years he was there, every criminally insane patient was healed. The staff loved their work, and all Dr. Len did was sit there and repeat the prayer over and over again.

Dr. Joe Vitale said that by using this potent forgiveness and releasing process, one is able to “clear your mind of subconscious blocks so that destiny and desire can take over and help you get what you truly want from life. It clears out unconsciously accepted beliefs, thoughts, and memories that you don’t even know are holding you back.”

I’m sorry.

I love you.

Please forgive me.

Thank you.
