Shaman Wisdom #97

A memory of a day in the Colonial distict of Hanoi, Vietnam, without all the worry.

The Highway Shaman Wisdom for August 4, 2020

Spanish for today – I am an artist and a mystic = Soy artista y mistica

I think the difference between happiness and depression is the attachment to results.  I’ve gone through a process of getting rear-ended by a semi-truck resulting in a mild traumatic brain injury, and finally the settlement result a year later, which was to be yesterday. So my stress and depression had a lot to do about the worry and fear, and maybe extreme joy, some variation of projected emotion to the questionable anticipated result. It was postponed. I wrote a one year update on my condition which was sent to the opposing attorney. They want two more weeks. So somehow that resulted in less stress and more energy. I pulled an Osho Zen tarot card to give myself clarity on all this.

5 of Water – CLINGING TO THE PAST:

These tenses – past, present and future – are not the tenses of time; they are tenses of the mind. That which is no longer before the mind becomes the past. That which is before the mind is the present. And that which is going to be before the mind is the future. Past is that which is no longer before you. Future is that which is not yet before you. And present is that which is before you and is slipping out of your sight. Soon it will be past . . .  If you don’t cling to the past . . . because clinging to the past is absolute stupidity. It is no longer there, so you are crying over spilled milk. What is gone is gone! And don’t cling to the present because that is also going and soon it will be past. Don’t cling to the future – hopes, imaginations, plans for tomorrow – because tomorrow will become today, will become yesterday. Everything is going to become yesterday. Everything is going to go out of your hands. Clinging will simply create misery. You will have to let it go.

“It is time  to face up to the fact that the past is gone, and any effort to repeat it is a sure way to stay stuck in old blueprints that you would have already outgrown if you hadn’t been so busy clinging to what you have already been through. Take a deep breath, put the box down, tie it up in a pretty ribbon if you must, and bid it a fond and reverent farewell. Life is passing you by, and you’re in danger of becoming an old fossil before your time.”

So, basically, the lesson for me is – I got hit by a truck in the past. It happened. What will result from it will be what shows up in present time. Be in present time. Worrying or even thinking of an outcome creates a form of misery. I need to let it go and be here now.  In that respect I drew another card. This goes with a question which was posed the other day, “Who are you?” I am an artist and a mystic, and all those other things like how much money I have or who I follow politically, actually all my beliefs, are inferior diversions in regards to me being the Creator that I am.

King of Fire – THE CREATOR

There are two types of creators in the world – one type works with objects – a poet, painter, they work with objects, they create things. The other type of creator, the mystic, creates himself. He doesn’t work with objects, he works with the subject – he works on himself, his own being. And he is the real creator, the real poet because he makes himself into a masterpiece. You are carrying a masterpiece hidden within you, but you are standing in the way. Just move aside, then the masterpiece will be revealed. Everyone is a masterpiece, because God never gives birth to anything less than that. Everyone carries that masterpiece hidden for many lives, not knowing who they are, and just trying on the surface to become someone. Drop the idea of becoming someone, because you already are a masterpiece. You cannot be improved. You have only to come to it, to know it, to realize it. God has himself created you, you cannot be improved.

“The King of Fire tells us that anything we undertake now, with the understanding that comes from maturity, will bring enrichment our lives and to the lives of others. Using whatever skills you have, whatever you have learned from your own life experience, it is time to express yourself.”

Osho Tarot “Understanding” and necklace by Dakan

The Highway Shaman Wisdom for August 3, 2020

I’ve been going through a period of mild depression. I’ve learned long ago that it comes with the territory of being a “sensitive” or empath – a shaman. I feel on multiple levels, and it just so happens that this pandemic has put the whole world into a state of depression. Below I’ve included a statement from The International Journal of Medicine on how the pandemic has affected the mental health of the world’s people.

My Osho Zen Tarot card reading for today is UNDERSTANDING. It’s telling me that I’m out of jail, out of the cage – that I can now open my wings and the whole sky is mine.

Understand = entender

This reading is about understanding freedom = esta lectura es sobre entender la libertad.

The depression the majority of people are feeling, in one way or another, revolves around the cage they find themselves in. People, surrendering in obedience, rationalize and will wear the mask, for instance, even when or where they don’t need to, not realizing it is a form of imprisonment. If a city or state says you must wear a mask at all times, that is the definition of social fascism, where the “State” has put you in a cage of demanded obediance. If that fascist rule isn’t in place, and you think you need to wear a mask whenever you leave the house, your fear is the practicing social self-abuse. You’ve clipped your own wings . . .

By not realizing that  . . . .”all the stars and the moon and the sun belong to you.” That you “can disappear into the blueness of the beyond.” Just by stop clinging to your cage, by moving out of the cage, “the whole sky is yours.’ Only then can you open your wings and fly across the sun like an eagle. “In the inner sky, in the inner world, freedom is the highest value – everything else is secondary, even blissfulness, ecstasy. There are thousands of flowers, uncountable, but they all become possible in the climate of freedom.”

Part of my sadness is witnessing the vast majority of people complying to the illogic insanity of their self imprisoning. Personally, in many instances, like going into a market, I’m force to comply, to enter the cage. In many ways it has made me a hermit, choosing to be free to fly in my own sky – at home, in my car, walking down the street, sitting at the beach. I can be lighthearted without a cage, knowing , understanding, that in truth, I AM FREE.

“The dawn of a new understanding – that the cage has always been open, and the sky has always been there for us to explore – can make us feel a little shaky at first. It’s fine, and natural to be shaky, but don’t let it overshadow the opportunity to experience the light-heartedness and adventure on offer, right there alongside the shakiness. Move the sweetness and gentleness of this time. Feel the fluttering within. Spread your wings and be free.”

regarding

Psychological and Social effects of Covid19

Multiple lines of evidence indicate that the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has profound psychological and social effects. The psychological sequelae of the pandemic will probably persist for months and years to come. Studies indicate that the COVID-19 pandemic is associated with distress, anxiety, fear of contagion, depression and insomnia in the general population and among healthcare professionals. Social isolation, anxiety, fear of contagion, uncertainty, chronic stress and economic difficulties may lead to the development or exacerbation of depressive, anxiety, substance use and other psychiatric disorders in vulnerable populations including individuals with pre-existing psychiatric disorders and people who reside in high COVID-19 prevalence areas. Stress-related psychiatric conditions including mood and substance use disorders are associated with suicidal behavior. COVID-19 survivors may also be at elevated suicide risk. The COVID-19 crisis may increase suicide rates during and after the pandemic. Mental health consequences of the COVID-19 crisis including suicidal behavior are likely to be present for a long time and peak later than the actual pandemic. To reduce suicides during the COVID-19 crisis, it is imperative to decrease stress, anxiety, fears and loneliness in the general population. There should be traditional and social media campaigns to promote mental health and reduce distress. Active outreach is necessary, especially for people with a history of psychiatric disorders, COVID-19 survivors and older adults. Research studies are needed of how mental health consequences can be mitigated during and after the COVID-19 pandemic

The Highway Shaman Wisdom for August 2, 2020

Today I begin the process of winging-it with these blogs. It may soon take shape as something different, but as of this moment I don’t know what it is. To give it some direction I’ll start with pulling an Osho Zen Tarot card –

CELEBRATION –

Life is a moment to celebrate, to enjoy. Make it fun, a celebration, and then you will enter the temple. The temple is not for the long-faced, it has never been for them. Look at life – do you see sadness anywhere? Have you ever seen a tree depressed? Have you seen a bird anxiety-ridden? Have you seen an animal neurotic? No, life is not like that, not at all. Only man has gone wrong somewhere, and he has gone wrong somewhere because he thinks himself to be very wise, very clever. Your cleverness is your disease. Don’t be too wise. Always remember to stop; don’t go to the extreme. A little foolishness and a little wisdom is good, and the right combination makes you a buddha.

“When you choose this card, it indicates that you are becoming more and more available and open to the many opportunities that are to celebrate life, and to spread this by contagion to others. Don’t bother about  scheduling a party on your calendar. Let your hair down, take your shoes off, and start splashing in the puddles right now. The party is happening all around you every moment!”

The Highway Shaman – August 1, 2020

SHAMAN WISDOM

Today I decided to do something different. I have no idea what the “different” will be. I’ve done the three card tarot readings in this blog for 93 straight days, and thirty previous days in my notebook – 133 days without a day off. It’s become a habit. I wasn’t going to pull a card today, but habitually did – the Elements card CHANGE NEEDED. 93 days is three months of posting blogs, with not one person responding on my blog page. No feedback. So the Change Need card says it’s an unresolvable situation I’ve put myself into and I need to re-evaluate my desire and direction. I thought I was doing this to help others, but so far my readings have obviously been personal inner work. It’s been one year since I had my brain injury and I suppose it’s taken this long to heal my brain, mind and spirit with Self Help.

I decided on April 1st to pull a card from three decks everyday. Today I’m deciding on just one deck. My preference would be from the Osho Zen Tarot, since its advice seems more universal than personal. Like the card I’m about to pull is not just for me but for you and everyone who would read it. – individual, communal and collective.  The card I just pulled made total sense – LETTING GO. It says, To choose this card is a recognition that something is finished, something is completing. Whatever it is – it is the time to let go of it, allowing any sadness but not trying to hold on. Something great is awaiting you, new dimensions are there to be discovered. You are past the point of return now, and gravity is doing its work. Go with it – it represents liberation.

I did feel sadness, so I’m still not totally letting go. I asked the Good Tarot for some advice. The EIGHT OF FIRE says I’m gathering momentum, celebrating swift changes with my transformation. “Momentum is building as the power of Spirit serves to power this transformation. I am traveling to new territories and I am eager to experience all that these lands have to offer. I have arrived at my destination and now the adventure of discovery is energizing me.”

I still haven’t come up with what the change will be. I’ll let go and see what comes up. Learn Spanish. This would not only be good for me but whoever reads this. I will start with “What is this called in Spanish?”  Como se llama esto en espanol?

I just realized that for all these months I’ve been working on the Spirit or Soul. Learning Spanish is for the mind. Education. What about the body? Health and nutrition. I need to start with something which comes to mind. Because of my resistance to change and letting go, I’ve been experiencing a mild depression and the need to sleep for more hours – the lack of energy. The word maca popped into my mind. What is maca?

Lepidium meyenii, known as maca or Peruvian ginseng, is an edible herbaceous biennial plant of the family Brassicaceae that is native to South America in the high Andes mountains of Peru. Medicinal uses of maca –

  • Increasing libido.
  • Reducing erectile dysfunction.
  • Boosting energy and endurance.
  • Increasing fertility.
  • Improving mood.
  • Reducing blood pressure.
  • Reducing sun damage.
  • Fighting free radicals.

Now I need to figure out how to get some.

THE READING

Elements Tarot – CHANGE NEEDED:

Moving into an unresolvable situation. Need for re-evaluation of desire and direction.

REVERSED: Delay in completion of current process. Need for patience, maintaining focus on objective.

Osho Zen Tarot – 8 of Water – LETTING GO

In existence there is nobody who is superior and nobody who is inferior. The blade of grass and the great star are equal. But man wants to be higher than others, he wants to conquer nature, hence he has to fight continuously. All complexity arises out of this fight. The innocent person is one who has renounced fighting, who is no longer interested in being higher, who is no longer interested in performing, in proving that he is someone special, who has become like the rose flower or like a dewdrop on the lotus leaf, who has become part of this infinity, who has melted, merged and become one with the ocean and is just a wave, who has no idea of the “I”. The disappearance of the “I” is innocence.

To choose this card is a recognition that something is finished, something is completing. Whatever it is – it is the time to let go of it, allowing any sadness but not trying to hold on. Something great is awaiting you, new dimensions are there to be discovered. You are past the point of return now, and gravity is doing its work. Go with it – it represents liberation.

The Good Tarot – EIGHT OF FIRE – Gathering momentum, celebrating swift changes, travel, transformation.

“Momentum is building as the power of Spirit serves to power this transformation.  I am traveling to new territories and I am eager to experience all that these lands have to offer. I have arrived at my destination and now the adventure of discovery is energizing me.”

The Highway Shaman Wisdom Reading

for July 31, 2020

It’s time for a change. Yesterday I wrote about how often I get the card Hesitation and today I got the runner-up in often – HEIGHT and reversed. Hesitation and self doubt go hand in hand. It’s too obvious that I’m being given a message. PROJECTIONS tells me that all my judgments of others not reaching their potential, is actually all about me. When am I going to do something which excites me, or at least seems like a worthy achievement? So, beginning tomorrow, August 1st, I will be doing something different. I don’t know what, but I’m thinking more Highway Shamanistic. FIVE OF FIRE is encouraging me into Creative brainstorming; unity in diversity, honoring differences. I have the freedom to explore the ideas that seem most far-fetched. What seems crazy today proves tomorrow to be brilliant. Like a child willing to stretch her imagination when a new playmate comes into the garden, I open to new people and ideas, intrigued by what is novel and unfamiliar. This is a time for what is counterintuitive, for appreciating the ideas from far out in left field and what they might offer. Stay tuned.

THE READING

The Elements Tarot: HEIGHT:

Attainment. Wisdom. Success. Action directed by inner guidance.

REVERSED: Fear of failure. Aspiring for success while maintaining a limiting self image. Self doubt.

Osho Zen Tarot: 7 of Water – PROJECTIONS

The only way to reach to truth is to learn how to be immediate in your vision, how to drop the help of the mind. This agency of the mind is the problem, because mind can create only dreams. Through your excitement the dream starts looking like reality. If you are too excited then you are intoxicated, then you are not in your senses. Then whatsoever you see is just your projection. And there are as many worlds as there are minds, because every mind lives in his own world.

“All of us can get caught up in projecting movies of our own making onto the situations and people surrounding us. It happens when we are not fully aware of our own expectations, desires and judgments – instead of taking responsibility for them and owning them, we try to attribute them to others. A projection can be devilish or divine, disturbing or comforting, but it is a projection nonetheless – a cloud that prevents us from seeing reality as it is. The only way out is to recognize the game. When you find a judgment arising about another, turn it around – does what you see in others really belong to you? Is your vision clear, or clouded by what you want to see?”

The Good Tarot  FIVE OF FIRE:  Creative brainstorming; unity in diversity, honoring differences.

“I have the freedom to explore the ideas that seem most far-fetched. What seems crazy today proves tomorrow to be brilliant. Like a child willing to stretch her imagination when a new playmate comes into the garden, I open to new people and ideas, intrigued by what is novel and unfamiliar. This is a time for what is counterintuitive, for appreciating the ideas from far out in left field and what they might offer.”

Inner Peace face by Dakan

The Highway Shaman Wisdom Reading

for July 30, 2020

What’s so fascinating about doing daily readings, is which cards show up, and which cards don’t. The Elements Tarot has 80 cards. I shuffle many times before I cut the deck and choose a card. I draw the card HESITATION, I’d say, 30% of the time. That card says that I’m “Holding back, uncertain. Not owning my power. Constriction in the power chakra.” Or, that I’m angry and repressing my emotions. Obviously these readings are telling me that there’s something I should be doing, and I’m not. It appears as though I’m being asked to follow some sort of program in order to find some sort of success. I asked the Osho Tarot to weigh in on this. INTENSITY says, “You have to be an original individual; you have to find your innermost core on your own, with no guide, no guiding scriptures.” I believe this to be true. I don’t like the Dark Forces personal invasion tools like Facebook or Twitter or other “social media” exposures, or even business coaches telling me how to be “successful.” Therefore, I put myself in the position to not be seen. It seems to be, as a Divine Creator, I’m choosing to hold back – to hesitate – because I’m unsure of the reception of my INTENSITY. It says, “Some will fell uplifted and refreshed by your presence, others may fell threatened or annoyed. But the opinions of others matter little; nothing can hold you back right now.” It’s not my anger which causes my HESITATION, but the perceived anger of those I “threaten and annoy” by saying controversial things. I then asked for the Good Tarot to chime in. The QUEEN OF WATER reminds me that I’m compassionate, I have emotional security, I’m generous, I’m self-loving. I’m a healer. With the reminder that, “I am comfortable in my own skin. I love, cherish and nurture myself. I am the best friend to myself. My relationship with others reflect my security in knowing I am always worthy of love and respect. I heal myself so I can be the change I want to see in the world and so my compassion can inspire others.” Perhaps I’m still in the process of self-healing. And possibly I’m a bit hesitant in consideration of the INTENSITY of my so-far “contained” Power. Below I’ve written guidelines to Self-Mastery.

THE READING

The Elements Tarot: HESITATION:

Holding back, uncertainty. Not owning your power. Constriction in the power chakra.

REVERSED: Anger. Surfacing of repressed emotion.

Osho Zen Tarot: Knight of Fire – INTENSITY:

Zen says: Think of all the great words and great teachings as your deadly enemy. Avoid them, because you have to find your own source. You have not to be a follower, an imitator. You have to be an original individual; you have to find your innermost core on your own, with no guide, no guiding scriptures. It is a dark night, but with the intense fire of inquiry you are bound to come to the sunrise.  Everybody who has burned with intense inquiry has found the sunrise. Others only believe. Those who believe are not religious, they are simply avoiding the great adventure of religion by believing.

“When you act with the intensity of the Knight of Fire it is likely to create ripples in the waters around you. Some will fell uplifted and refreshed by your presence, others may fell threatened or annoyed. But the opinions of others matter little; nothing can hold you back right now.”

The Good Tarot  QUEEN OF WATER   compassion, emotional security, generosity, self-love and self-care, healer.

“I am comfortable in my own skin. I love, cherish and nurture myself. I am the best friend to myself. My relationship with others reflect my security in knowing I am always worthy of love and respect. I heal myself so I can be the change I want to see in the world and so my compassion can inspire others.”

STEPS TO SELF MASTERY

Step One: Find Your Bliss

Start by exploring what kindles your passion, inspires you, and makes your live worth living. It is important to discover your personal definition of happiness … the things which make you catch your breath and stay up all night … or travel to the ends of the earth/universe in order to find.

Discovering what your bliss is can take several months … but there is a simple process for finding it … a recipe made up of 8 groups of ingredients.

Once you discover your personal bliss ingredients, you can create a statement that defines in your own words what your bliss is and thus your idea of what is exquisite happiness.

Knowing your bliss helps you define in very personal terms your idea of exquisite happiness … and gives you a way to start making life decisions and choices that take you there.

Step Two: Discover Your Reason For Living

Next, you want to focus on discovering your reason for living — the purpose for your life. This reason is basically what you want to experience, learn or understand .. the knowledge that experiencing life and death will give to you.

Combined with knowing your bliss, this gives you a very good idea of what your life is all about … and brings clarity to the everyday choices and major life decisions that await you.

Step Three: Define Your Extraordinary Life

Next, you want to focus on discovering and defining the life you would love to live … your grown up version of the childhood dreams you had of what you would be and do when you grew up. But, instead of being built on fantasy, this extraordinary life is one you really would be thrilled to actually live. Basically, it is you living your bliss in the real world.

If you have already defined what your bliss is, this is a simple step of translating to the real world how you would follow and live your bliss.

Knowing what your extraordinary life is … the life that you would love to live … helps give you a target to aim your life at, a standard for living a life full of love, passion and meaning.

Step Four: Define Your Life’s Work

Once you have defined the life you want to live, it is time to define your life’s work that pays for that life and allows you to live it 24/7/365 instead of just on weekends and holidays.

Knowing how to turn your passion and personal bliss into a paycheck (and a handsome one at that!) is a secret to a happy life … and helps you in the real world make great decisions about where to go to school, what to study, the kind of training or degree you need to be successful, and the profession you want to pursue.

Step Five: Answer Life’s Four Questions

The four questions help you dig deeper into the mystery of who you are and what you are doing here. The answers and insights you get about who you really are can illuminate your life and help you make sense of the life you are living.

 Who AM I?

           Where Am I Coming From?

 Why AM I Here?

    Where AM I Going To?

Step Six: Review Your Life Using The Insights You’ve Gained

The first five steps help you know more about yourself — what makes you unique and what makes you tick. Now is the time to use these answers and insights to examine your life up to now and understand the events and choices of your life.

Often, it takes time to provide perspective on a life … but what that time really turns out to be is life experience that is turned into knowledge about the world, yourself and others … so you can start to make sense of your life. Applying that knowledge to examine your life and understand it brings clarity, peace and serenity.

Step Seven: Look Forward Using The Insights You’ve Gained

You can also use the insights and ideas you have developed to look forward and understand where your current life choices are taking you. Knowing yourselfwho you are, why you are here, what your bliss is, and the life you want to have — is a tool you can use to help you succeed at the life you dream of living.

The Highway Shaman Wisdom Reading

for July 29, 2020

Sometimes I feel like I’m going around in a circle. I wonder what it means to find out who you really are – to reach your full potential. Right now almost all of us are in a “process,” called the Pandemic of 2020. I’m an old man who chose to self-isolate in a remote Mexican town, to be away from all the craziness and health risk in the USA. The card MARRIAGE reverse talks about losing my power to a process. Am I making excuse in into COMPARISON, which is telling me to see whether I’m fulfilling my own potential in the best way I know how. I’m not sure. I am committed to these blog and my daily art projects, and question whether or not I have what it takes to meet my full potential. The TEN OF EARTH – reminds me that I am now able to step back and observe the results of what I built through my dedication and hard work. I claim ownership of the castles I built that have taken form in the material world. I have achieved mastery and inherited treasures of knowledge and experience thanks to all I have been through. I smile appreciatively at my run of good fortune.

Below the Reading is a blog I wrote about this very issue 26 years ago, several month after I returned from a life-altering journey to the Yucatan. Is my life exactly as it has been sense then, all along and how its meant to be?

THE READING

The Elements Tarot: MARRIAGE:

The joining of distinct forces or entities together to support a common purpose or mutual aspiration. Partnership.

REVERSED: Losing individual identity and power to a person, project or process.

Osho Zen Tarot: 5 of Clouds –  COMPARISON:

Comparison brings inferiority, superiority. When you don’t compare, all inferiority, all superiority, disappear. Then you are, you are simply there. A small bush or a big tree – it doesn’t matter – you are yourself. You are needed. A grass leaf is needed as much as the biggest star. Without the grass leaf God will be less than he is. The sound of the cuckoo is needed as much as any Buddha – the world will be less, will be less rich if this cuckoo disappears. Just look around. All is needed, and everything fits together. It is an organic unity – Nobody is higher and nobody is lower, nobody is superior, nobody inferior. Everybody is incomparably unique.”

“The way to find out who you are is not by comparing yourself with others, but by looking to see whether you are fulfilling you own potential in the best way you know how.”

The Good Tarot  TEN OF EARTH  Affluence, material abundance, mastery, financial security, inherited wealth and knowledge.

“I am now able to step back and observe the results of what I built through my dedication and hard work. I claim ownership of the castles I built that have taken form in the material world. I have achieved mastery and inherited treasures of knowledge and experience thanks to all I have been through. I smile appreciatively at my run of good fortune.”

 Dakan in 1994

It seems as if my life is just beginning today.  This is different than other days.  I tried to leave the house three times this morning.  I couldn’t.  My inner voice kept telling me to “stop, be quiet and be patient.”  I noticed how difficult that is for me . . . I’m always off doing this and doing that – mostly to hustle a few more bucks in order to keep my story going.  But what’s my story?  “The Hustle to Keep Hustling Story?” There’s no plot to this story- no direction or goal.  Today I had to stop and just be with myself and listen . . . and be patient.  For what?  I don’t know.  Something new and different needs to unfold in my life – something that will stimulate and ignite my spirit.  It’s my spirit that’s trapped in same-o-same-o land and is fighting to be free.

I really think that life was meant to be experienced as joy.  We seem to feel most alive when we’re either lost in laughter/fun or in extreme danger.  I think danger reminds us of how precious life is and how important it is to fill it with love and joy. Recently I was at a great party. Over 100 people came together just to have fun.  Nobody argued or fought – everyone seemed to be there ready and willing to enjoy those moments . . . dancing and laughing and playing.  It’s times like this that we collectively experience the abundance of life and joy of living.

I want to create fun in my life as what I do to experience abundance.  Is that possible?  Is it possible for me to create abundance doing the things that bring me joy, happiness and love?  I sit here this morning willing to change directions in order to experience what in my heart I believe is possible.  I don’t know what that is is.  So I get this message to “stop, be quiet and be patient.”  I don’t really have to rush off and do whatever I thought I had to do.  Maybe dreaming up fun plans is worth more to me and my life right now than the few dollars I could be making somewhere else.

This is the time given to me to adjust and rearrange my life.  I have to take that old cliché to heart . . . this is the first day of the rest of my life.  What do I want to do with it?  What gives me joy in life?  What’s fun for me and creates happiness in others?  My answer doesn’t have to make sense.  Making sense is not always a prerequisite to making money – I just don’t totally buy my old thoughts that being a serious and sensible businessman will necessarily bring me all the riches and happiness I believe I deserve.  Well, it may bring me riches, but will it bring me joy and happiness?  What will?

The Highway Shaman Wisdom Reading

for July 28, 2020

I keep getting these readings where something great and wonderful is right around the corner for me. With the SIDDHIS card I know I’m living a miraculous life, that being here, isolated in a wonderful home where I have everything I need, I’m in the proper environment for my thoughts to physically manifest whatever I desire. So why not fill my life with PLAYFULNESS, to at least drop the seriousness – there is no need for that in my blessed life. The PAGE OF AIR says that conflict is a good way to see my motives and intentions. I keep saying that what is most important to me is being Authentic, to live in the Highest Level of  Being in Integrity as possible.

At that highest level of Being in Integrity we embody things like Serenity, Ecstasy and Joy. Gratefulness, enthusiasm, empathy, amusement, hope, wonder, love, innocence and curiosity. In order to stay within the bounds of High Integrity we must choose to remain devoted, to make everything an opportunity to enhance, to be on purpose, to communicate everything germane, to make goals and keep agreements, and to maintain the freedom of choice – to go for results and tell the truth. At the lowest level of being Out of Integrity we have things like failure, pity, regret, blame, shame, controlling others, worshiping bodies, greed, jealousy, betrayal and revenge. Plus pain, anger, hate, fear, despair, grief, victim, undeserving and hopeless.

So these readings are a daily reminder to stay within the elevation of High Integrity, to find the enthusiasm necessary to live a miraculous life, to have fun, enjoy each moment of every day, to be authentic, honest, innocent and loving. Always.

THE READING

The Elements Tarot: SIDDHIS:

Spiritual powers. Miracles. Bring ing spiritual light into physical manifestation. Magic.

REVERSED: Creative power of thoughts. Visualization, affirmation. Also the proper environment for thoughts to manifest: focus, desire, silence.

Osho Zen Tarot: Page of Fire – PLAYFULNESS –

The moment you start seeing life as non-serious, a playfulness, all the burden on your heart disappears. All the fear of death, life, of love – everything disappears. One starts living with a very light weight or almost no weight. So weightless one becomes, one can fly in the open sky. Zen’s greatest contribution is to give you an alternative to the serious man. The serious man has made the world, the serious man has made all the religions. He has created all the philosophies, all the cultures, all the moralities – everything that exists around you is a creation of the serious man.

Zen has dropped out of the serious world. It has created a world of its own which is very playful, full of laughter, even where great masters behave like children.

“When the Page of Fire  enters your life, it is a sign you are ready for the fresh and the new. Something wonderful is just on the horizon, and you have just the right quality of playful innocence and clarity to welcome it with open arms.”

The Good Tarot  FIVE OF AIR: Tension, conflict

“Conflict is a good way to see my motives and intentions. I can use this experience to grow into a more authentic version of myself. It’s not important to win. It’s important to have integrity. Other people have different ways of thinking and may not always be in agreement with me. I open to this opportunity to live and let live.”

Shaman Wisdom #89

My only friend comes by most days and hangs out for an hour or two. He has one blue eye and one brown. Very sweet.

Don’t know his name or where he lives. I give him a cup of dog food and he’s grateful.

The Highway Shaman Wisdom Reading

for July 27, 2020

In these reading I continually face a huge paradox. Do something with all my talents. Or just be with them. Part of me really wants to have a thousand people a day read my blogs, millions to read my novels, many millions more to watch my TV series, hundred to buy my art . . . and at the same time I enjoy my solitary life. Being invisible. I look at the card HEIGHT and realize that I am wise. I am a success and everything I do is directed by inner guidance. I’m always in RIPENESS, ready for the next great thing to happen. I feel as though I’ve already opened the door to the Divine. With the PAGE OF WATER – I know I’m openhearted, still innocent and always curious. It says that this sharing of myself, this expression of my creativity, comes in many ways – in my everyday life experiences. I can share my juice or not, it no longer matters. I am Love and the expression of God on earth. I AM THAT I AM.

THE READING

The Elements Tarot: HEIGHT:

Attainment. Wisdom. Success. Action directed by inner guidance.

REVERSED: Fear of failure. Aspiring for success while maintaining a limiting self image. Self doubt.

Osho Zen Tarot: 9 of Rainbows. RIPENESS –

Only if your meditation has brought you a light that shines in every night will even death not be a death to you but a door to the divine. With the light in you heart, death itself is transformed into a door, and you enter into the universal spirit; you become one with the ocean. And unless you know the oceanic experience, you have lived in vain. Now is always the time, and the fruit is always ripe. You need to gather courage to enter into your inner forest. The fruit is always ripe and the time is always the right time. There is no such thing as wrong time.

“When this card appears in a reading it indicates that you are ready to share your inner riches, your ‘juice.’ All you need to do is relax right where you are, and be willing for it to happen This sharing of yourself, this expression of your creativity, can come in many ways – in your work, your relationships, your everyday life experiences. No special preparation or effort on your part is required. It is simply the right time.”

The Good Tarot – PAGE OF WATER – Openheartedness, Innocence and curiosity, beginning of intimacy and relationships, playfulness ,cheerful optimism

“I open my heart fully, allowing myself to feel childlike wonder and innocence. All adventures lead me to where I need to go. Love awaits! Life is a delightful dance, and I am here to frolic and play. I am ready with a big smile, and I have on my dancing shoes.”

The Highway Shaman Wisdom Reading

for July 26, 2020

I drew the WORLD card today. The other day the question came up, “Who am I?” DESIRE reverse says that I’m not focused on a specific outcome. POSSIBILITIES says that I’m at a point where the world of possibilities is open to me. The WORLD card blew it away – to look at my life from this perspective – “I’m being called to shift my perspective on my life now. When I remember I am first and foremost an Immortal Soul, expressing life as a human being. I have no fear. I can see clearly that I am a powerful co-creator in a divine partnership with Spirit. Aligning myself with Spirit, remaining unattached to outcomes, I am a conduit for miracles.”  So true.

I’m content as the Highway Shaman, living alone in peace. Then this song came into my head – “We are the world. We are the children. We are the ones who make a brighter day, so let’s start giving. There’s a choice we’re making, We’re saving our own lives. It’s true we’ll make a better day, just you and me.”

How is the Who Am I not giving?

Sex slave trafficking and pedophilia bother the heck out of me. I want to say something, give my voice to this sickness which world leaders and Hollywood stars are engaged in. So this is my linger confusion. Should I peacefully send out love, or somehow get engaged, remaining unattached, and without fear, talk about this, as I’m wanting to do here.

THE READING

The Elements Tarot: DESIRE:

Focusing the mind and emotions on a specific objective. Pulling for a wanted condition or outcome.

REVERSED: Lack of continued focus on a specific result. Unclear or inconsistent intention.

Osho Zen Tarot: 2 of Fire – POSSIBILITIES

Don’t be content easily. Those who remain content easily remain small: small are their joys, small are their ecstasies, small are their silences, small is their being. But there is no need! This smallness is your own imposition upon your freedom, upon your unlimited possibilities, upon your unlimited potential.

“This card indicates that you are at a point where the world of possibilities is open to you. Because you have grown more loving toward yourself, more self-contained, you can work easily with others. Because you are relaxed and at ease, you can recognize possibilities as they present themselves, sometime even before others can see them. Because you are in tune with your own nature, you can understand that existence is providing you with exactly what you need. Enjoy the flight! And celebrate all the varied wonders of the landscape spread before you.”

The Good Tarot  WORLD  Perspective

“I’m being called to shift my perspective on my life now. When I remember I am first and foremost an Immortal Soul, expressing life as a human being. I have no fear. I can see clearly that I am a powerful co-creator in a divine partnership with Spirit. Aligning myself with Spirit, remaining unattached to outcomes, I am a conduit for miracles.”
